PRAYER FOCUS, December 14, 2025
Update from Daniel & Janna Ross, missionaries in the Ukraine.
On Thanksgiving Day, we had Safe Haven over to our house for dinner and fellowship. After stuffing ourselves with Janna’s fabulous cooking, we went around the circle and named what we were thankful for.
Janna said that right now, she is thankful to everyone who has made Book Haven possible. It's been a way that she has seen God move, which is so important right now because sometimes it's hard to see God work in this war. Recent events in the last few months haven’t erased those feelings, but at least the bookstore gives her hope. She feels seen.
Daniel is thankful for being in Ukraine. Not for the war, to be clear. There is real purpose here. We get to see this amazing people enduring and meeting this moment. When Oliver is old enough to fully grasp what is happening now, I’m grateful that I will be able to tell him that we decided to live in Ukraine even during war. We are all grateful for your continued support and prayers.
Please continue to pray for God’s protection for Daniel, Janna, and Oliver, and for those who are involved in their ministry through First Love International.
Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel. Pray for the opening of Book Haven, which they hope will occur in January.
