PRAYER FOCUS, January 25, 2026
Last Sunday afternoon, we gathered for Committee Round Up, a time for our newly elected committees to get organized by electing committee leadership, and to discuss events for the coming year.
Offer a prayer of thanksgiving for those who are willing to serve the Lord in these capacities at WCBC.
Pray for these committees and ministry teams to be sensitive to God’s leadership, as they plan, promote, and carry out ministry opportunities during this coming year.
Pray for God to lead us to be more aware of how we can use our ministries as tools of strengthening the fellowship of WCBC and of outreach.
Pray for the Lord to show you ways that you can be involved in serving Him, and respond with joy and a willing heart, when He gives you an opportunity.

Dear Walnut Creek Baptist Church,
The officers of Diana United Fund want to thank you for the monetary support your church willingly gave at the Community Thanksgiving Service. Your church helps us throughout the year, which always comes at the most appropriate times. For instance, the VBS food drive that WCBC donates to Diana United Fund. God knows, and God provides.
We use the Community Thanksgiving funds to provide a box of canned goods, a turkey, and a gift card to sixty-plus families who need it in our community. We couldn’t do it without the church! Thank you so much,

We are monitoring the weather for this weekend. If things hold true, and we receive the winter precipitation that is forecast, we will not have worship services on Sunday, January 25. We will plan on making a final decision on Saturday and will post it on the church Facebook page. If there should be power failure and we are unable to post using social media, we will attempt to notify the deacons and Sunday School teachers.
If there are icy roads and/or a power outage, services will be cancelled.
